Gas prices in New Mexico are down (slightly) for the first time in more than a year, falling 2.1 cents per gallon from a week ago. The price per gallon of regular gasoline remains significantly higher than last year, when it was $2.007 per gallon, according to GasPrices.AAA.com.
New Mexico gas prices are three cents lower than the national average. Two weeks ago, New Mexico was six cents cheaper.
